Hotel Visitors in Early Kerr County, June 1902

J. S. Baldridge, of Gonzales, has leased the Kentucky House and will continue the business at the old stand.

Rev. A. N. Stockard and son of Mt. Pleasant, Tenn., are guests at the Hutchinson.


Mrs. Volmer and two daughters, Misses Leona and Sadie, of Little Rock, are guests at the St. Charles.

J. A. Ryder, of San Antonio, is a guest at the Tivy House.

S. M. Yates, representing the New York Life Co., is a guest at the Gerdes.

Jas. Wynn, of Rock Springs, was a guest at the Gerdes Wednesday.

A party composed of W. J. Moore, Will Raynor, C. J. Sellers, Fred Whisenhunt, W. D. Coldwell, Isaac Witt, Verett Moore, of Centre Point, were among the guests at the Gerdes Hotel last Sunday.

J. A. Dawson and family, of Gonzales, arrived in Kerrville Wednesday.  They are at present staying at the Steagall House, but will make a home in this city.

W. F. Middleton, formerly a resident of Kerr county, now living at Denver Colorado, is a guest at the Gerdes Hotel, this city.

Simon Frazier, of Noxville, was a guest at the Gerdes hotel Thursday.

Hughes Moore, of Center Point, was a guest at the Gerdes hotel Thursday.

J. H. Harvey, proprietor of the Harvey hotel, at Harper, was a guest at the Gerdes Thursday.

Ex-sheriff John Jones of Kimble county and his son were guests at the Gerdes Hotel Monday.  They had been visiting Bandera and were on the way to their home at Junction.

Tom Rodgers, of Rodger's Well, was a guest at the Gerdes Hotel Thursday.  Mr. Rodgers has recently sold his ranch.

Sam Hill and B. M. Hixson of Mountain Home community were guests at the St. Charles Wednesday.

R. J. Hartman and wife of Mexico city were guests at the St. Charles Tuesday.

Mrs. Volmer, of Little Rock, Ark., died suddenly yesterday at the St. Charles Hotel.
KGS note: This is Rachel Vogel Volmer who was born 1865 Indiana and died June 20, 1902.  She is buried at Oakland Cemetery, Little Rock, Pulaski Co., Arkansas.

Alfred Holmgreen and family, of San Antonio, were guests at the Gerdes last Sunday.

Mr. Baumgarten and family arrived Tuesday from Schulenburg and registered at the Gerdes. They left Thursday for their ranch in Kimble county.

Frank Langford, of Bandera is a guest at the Gerdes.  Mr. Langford is a delegate to the conference now in session here.

Among the guests at the Gerdes Tuesday were Sheriff Bozarth of Edwards county; Sheriff W. W. Taylor of Kimble county; M. M. Parkerson and Wm. Brown of Rock Springs.

A. J. Hamer and family were at the Gerdes Tuesday.  They were returning from a months visit to relatives near Comfort and left this city Wednesday for their home at Junction city.
