Hotel Visitors in Early Kerr County, April 1902

Dr. D. S. Pitts, of Comfort, was a guest at the St. Charles Hotel Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Hayes Taylor, who had been visiting at Goliad for several months, were at the Gerdes Hotel Thursday.  They left yesterday for their home at Junction.

J. S. Lovelace, of San Antonio, was a guest at the Gerdes Hotel Tuesday.

H. G. Caperton, of Harwood, was among the guests at the Gerdes Hotel Tuesday.

J. M. Stephenson, a well known stockman of Lampasas county, was a guest at the Gerdes Hotel Thursday.

Judge S. H. Brashear, ex-mayor of Houston, was a guest at the St. Charles this week.  Judge Brashear was accompanied by his wife and son, who will spend the summer in this city, guests of Miss Muller.

Fred Hall and Horace E. Wilson, of Junction, were among the guests at the Gerdes hotel, Wednesday.

J. F. Fuller was registered at the Gerdes Hotel Tuesday.  Mr. Fuller left in the afternoon for the west to follow up the rain belt.

J. A. Jackson of Austin, was  a guest at the St. Charles Thursday.  Mr.  Jackson left in the afternoon for his ranch at the head of the Guadalupe.

H. Leistikow and family were among the guests at the Gerdes hotel Wednesday.  They were returning from Blanco county, where they have been visiting relatives, and left in the afternoon for their ranch on the divide.

Simon Frazier of Junction City, was a guest at the Gerdes hotel Thursday.

J. W. Baldridge and wife, of Gonzales, are among the guests at the Gerdes hotel,

Gus Graebner and wife, of San Antonio, were among the guests at the St. Charles Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bonnell were among the guests at the St. Charles Wednesday.  Mr. Bonnell left in the afternoon for Austin.

Mrs. Burford, of Indianapolis, Ind., is in the city, a guest of her son, W. Burford, at the St. Charles.

Susie Herra, one of the best known characters in southwest Texas, is stopping at the Gerdes.  Mrs. Herra is a traveling saleswoman.  She makes her territory once a year and carries her goods with her.  She is a native of Syria, and is noted for her honesty and fair dealing, which makes a distinction between and the ordinary peddler.

Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Hixson, who has been visiting in San Antonio for several days, arrived in this city Wednesday and registered at the St. Charles.  They left in the afternoon for their ranch on the divide.
